Students Explore Career Pathways at Miller TAFE
On August 21st, Liverpool Opportunity Hub mentors Rhys Wesser and Reneigh Scott took students from Ashcroft High School, Miller Technology High School, and Liverpool Independent School to attend an industry visit at Miller TAFE, gaining valuable insights into future career pathways and training opportunities.
Throughout the tour students explored the campus and a variety of faculties, discovering study and career options across different trades and industries. From construction to retail services, the visit showcased the many practical pathways available through TAFE. The tour gave students the chance to engage directly with TAFE staff and gain a real-world understanding of the skills needed in their fields of interest.

This visit forms part of the Liverpool Opportunity Hub’s ongoing commitment to connecting local students with industry and education pathways. By bridging the gap between school and post-school options, the Hub is helping young people make more informed decisions about their futures and inspiring them to see themselves as future leaders within their communities.

The industry visit was not the end of the journey. Students who expressed strong interest in specific pathways will now be supported by the Liverpool Opportunity Hub to access follow-up opportunities, whether through future TAFE workshops, career expos, or mentoring sessions. The Hub’s mission is to ensure that the inspiration gained from these visits translates into long-term success.
