Member Co. and Football Club Chairman, Nicholas Pappas AM, said:
“There are Members who give distinguished service on the field and those who do so off the field. Today, we honour Members in both categories.
“Dave Tyrrell was always a fan favourite during his long career at the Rabbitohs. A one-club man, he put his body on the line on countless occasions, most notably in the closing minutes of our triumphant victory in the 2014 Grand Final. Dave joins a prestigious list of players who have given their all for our Club.
“Jimmy and Peter Lahood represent all that is good in the South Sydney Member. Loyal, determined and proud, I witnessed firsthand how their devotion to our Club helped it survive in its darkest moments and for that they both deserve our deep appreciation.”
