Senior Pathways Weekend Wrap | Round 2, 2026

The South Sydney Rabbitohs Senior Pathways teams had a mixed weekend in Round two. The Jersey Flegg Cup side delivered the highlight of the round with a commanding victory over the Roosters, whilst the Knock On Effect NSW Cup side went down to the Roosters in a contest that got away from them in the second half.

The Rabbitohs NSW Cup side faced the Roosters at Redfern Oval in a tough Round two encounter. South Sydney crossed for three tries through Matthew Dufty, Te Wehi Waitere and Lajuan Vito, with Bayleigh Bentley-Hape converting two of those efforts. Despite the tries, the Red and Green were unable to contain the Roosters attack, going down 18-30 in front of the home faithful. The Rabbitohs will look to regroup ahead of Round three and build on the positive moments from the contest.

NSW Cup - Round 2, 2026

Jersey Flegg Cup

The Jersey Flegg Cup side produced the performance of the weekend, claiming a comprehensive 40-22 victory over the Roosters at Redfern Oval. Jacob Fong crossed for two tries to lead the scoring, while Corbin Alvarez, Elijah Keung, Daniel Lua, Max McCarthy and Harrison Rooke all found their way to the tryline. Charlie Poynton was sharp with the boot, slotting five goals to round out a polished team display. It was a clinical effort from the Cardinal and Myrtle, who spread the ball well and capitalised on their opportunities throughout the match.
