The Senior Pathways teams had a challenging weekend across Round 22, with both the The Knock On Effect NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup sides falling short in tight and one-sided contests respectively. While the results did not go the way of the Red and Green, there were still encouraging signs on the field as both squads continue to build towards the back end of the season.

The Knock On Effect NSW Cup

In Round 22 of the The Knock On Effect NSW Cup, the Rabbitohs went down in a tight contest against the Jets at Henson Park. It was a defensive arm-wrestle for much of the match, with the home side unable to find the attacking rhythm needed to break down a determined Jets outfit.

Moala Graham-Taufa crossed for the Rabbitohs' lone try, providing a spark in attack, while Jonah Glover added one conversion from the boot. Despite the narrow six-point margin, South Sydney were unable to find the finishing touches required to reel in the Jets. The Rabbitohs will look to regroup ahead of next week and take confidence from a solid defensive effort that kept them in the contest throughout.

Taj Alvarez, Caelis Samuel and Hadley Smith all crossed for tries to keep the Rabbitohs in the fight, while Caleb Cresswell was accurate with the boot, converting three goals.
