The winner is determined by the aggregate scores of the two regular season games played each year between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and Western Suburbs Magpies.

There have been ten games played, with the Rabbitohs having won seven games and the Magpies three games.

Western Suburbs lead the race to win the Sattler-Kelly Cup this year by 18 points courtesy of a 24-6 win over South Sydney in round 11. The Rabbitohs will need to win this Saturday’s game by 18 points or more to retain the Sattler-Kelly Cup for the fourth year in a row.
