The South Sydney Rabbitohs have released middle forward Liam Knight from the remainder of his playing contract, effectively immediately, to take up an opportunity at another NRL club.

Knight, 28, has played 76 NRL matches, of which 66 games have been for the Rabbitohs, since making his first grade debut in 2016.

Rabbitohs Head of Football, Mark Ellison, said: “Liam has an opportunity to play more consistent NRL-level football at another Club and we have agreed to release him so he can take up that opportunity.

“We wish him the best of luck with his ongoing career, and he will always be a Rabbitoh.”
