The South Sydney Rabbitohs are calling for expressions of interest to trial for a place in the South Sydney Rabbitohs Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership squad for the 2024 season.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are creating one of the strongest pathways for female players in Rugby League, fielding teams in all NSWRL women's competitions from open age to under 17s levels.

Players from the NSW Women’s Premiership squad will also have the chance to earn a spot in the Rabbitohs ‘Black Rabbits’ elite player development program.

Rabbitohs Head of Female Pathways, Dale Jackson, said this a chance to represent the Rabbitohs at the top level in New South Wales.

"2024 will be an important season for our Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership team as we continue to build towards a team in the NRLW competition," Jackson said.

"Many of our current and former players now feature, and have featured in the past, in the NRLW competition so we have a proven record of developing players that have gone on to play at that level and representative levels too.

"We encourage everyone that is keen to trial for a position in our open age Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership squad to submit their expressions of interest before the closing date so we can assess the applications and send out the invitations to our trial.”

Expressions of interest for this squad will close at 5pm on Monday 18 September, 2023. Those who are then invited to trial will be notified by email with the trial to take place at Redfern Oval on Wednesday 27 September, 2023 at 5pm.
