The Rabbitohs Institute has announced a new partnership with leading health and fitness operator Viva Leisure, the parent company of Club Lime, designed to strengthen industry engagement and create new pathways for students into the health, fitness, and broader sports sectors.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing future talent by combining education with real-world experience, professional exposure, and wellbeing support.
Unlocking Practical Experience and Industry Access
As part of the agreement, all Rabbitohs Institute students will receive a 12-month Club Lime membership, giving them access to high-quality training facilities across Australia. In addition, students will benefit from guest lectures delivered by Viva Leisure professionals and access to work experience and placement opportunities within the organisation.
The initiative supports both our sports management and personal training cohorts, reinforcing the Institute’s focus on providing practical, career-ready experiences alongside classroom learning.
This partnership is a strong example of the Institute’s ongoing approach to working with industry leaders to enhance student outcomes beyond traditional education models.
Leadership Perspectives
Harry Konstantinou, CEO and Managing Director of Viva Leisure, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to people, wellbeing, and opportunity.
“At Viva Leisure, our commitment has always extended beyond the gym floor. We believe genuine health goes in tandem with wellbeing and opportunity, in education and for the community. We see enormous opportunity to connect Rabbitohs Institute students with our network, with the potential for exposure to industry expertise, insights and placement opportunities, and a real bridge between education and employment.”
Blake Solly, CEO of the South Sydney Rabbitohs, highlighted the value of real-world engagement for students.
“Meaningful industry engagement is key to our students’ growth, providing real-world insights, connections, and opportunities. This new partnership with Viva Leisure is a great example, giving students access to Club Lime facilities, industry expertise, and career opportunities. It’s another step in bridging education and the sports industry, delivering experiences far beyond the traditional classroom.”
Building Stronger Pathways into Industry
The partnership between the Rabbitohs Institute and Viva Leisure reflects a growing focus on connecting education with employment outcomes. By combining fitness access, industry exposure, and hands-on experience, the initiative helps students build confidence, networks, and practical skills.
It also reinforces the Institute’s commitment to creating meaningful pathways into the sports, health, and business industries, ensuring students graduate with more than qualifications, but genuine career opportunities.
