Judiciary: Wighton Suspended for Round Two Clash Against Dragons

Rabbitohs Centre, Jack Wighton, has received two charges from the Match Review Comittee following our round one win over the Dolphins.

Charge 1: High Tackle – Careless (50th Minute)

Wighton was cited for a careless high tackle on Dolphins forward Kulikefu Finefeuiaki. The incident was classified as a Grade 2 offence.

If Wighton accepts the early plea, he will face a 1-match suspension. If he contests the charge and loses, the suspension will increase to 2 matches.

Charge 2: Dangerous Contact (63rd Minute)

Wighton was also charged with Dangerous Contact on Daniel Saifiti. The offence was graded at Level 1.

Accepting the early plea would result in a $1,000 fine. Fighting the charge and losing could see the fine rise to $1,500.

Update (9 March): Jack Wighton has accepted the early guilty plea and will be suspended for one match, ruling him out of our round two clash against the Dragons.
