Souths Cares Delivers a Fresh Start to the School Year
From Alexandria to Austral, La Perouse to Lurnea and everywhere in between, Souths Cares has kicked off the school year by delivering 100 fresh fruit packs to mentees and families across all Souths Cares programs, including the Liverpool Opportunity Hub, Nanga Mai Marri and Deadly Youth Mentoring Program in hopes to help set students up for a healthy and positive start to the year.
These fresh fruit hampers were packed and picked up directly from MD fresh at Sydney Markets by the Souths Cares mentors in order to distribute them to families within our communities. We wanted to ensure our families had access to fresh, nutritious foods as they prepare to return to the classroom. This initiative reflects Souths Cares’ ongoing commitment to supporting not just students, but the families and communities around them.

By delivering the fresh fruit across all programs, Souths Cares continues to focus on holistic support, recognising that wellbeing, nutrition and community connection all play a role in a young person’s ability to thrive at school.
