Souths Cares Participants Take Part in Rabbitohs Industry Visit
More than 20 clients from our Indigenous Programs recently stepped into the world of sport and business during an exciting industry visit to Heffron Headquarters, gaining firsthand insight into what a day in the life at Heffron is really like.
The day began with a warm welcome over morning tea before students had the unique opportunity to witness the South Sydney Rabbitohs' Captain's Run, experiencing the professionalism, preparation and teamwork that goes into an elite sporting environment.
Following the field session, students enjoyed an engaging "Get to Know Me" panel featuring both Corporate, Digital and Sport editions. Team members from across Heffron shared their career journeys, daily responsibilities and the diverse opportunities available within the organisation. They were encouraged to ask questions, gaining valuable insights into the many roles that contribute to the success of a high-performing sporting organisation.
The visit also included lunch, providing students with the opportunity to network with Heffron staff and continue conversations in a relaxed setting.
The experience offered an inspiring look behind the scenes of professional sport, highlighting the wide range of careers beyond the playing field and reinforcing the importance of teamwork, leadership and passion in every role.
