Robert Walters Host Souths Cares Students

On Friday, students from South Sydney High School, Miller Technology High School and Liverpool Independent School visited the Robert Walters office in Sydney’s CBD to explore career pathways in the recruitment industry and gain valuable advice from industry professionals.

The visit began with an office tour, where students enjoyed the harbour views and Sydney skyline. The central CBD setting provided an inspiring backdrop, taking students out of their comfort zones and offering a first-hand experience of a professional corporate workplace.

Robert Walters staff then hosted a Q&A session, sharing their personal career journeys across fields including procurement, recruitment and office management.

The visit was a valuable opportunity to introduce students to the recruitment industry and share insights into a range of career pathways. It helped broaden their understanding of what’s possible and sparked fresh ideas for their futures. We look forward to welcome more Souths Cares students to Robert Walters in the future.

Morning tea followed, giving students the chance to network informally with the team in a relaxed setting.

The visit concluded with an engaging resume and interview workshop, delivered by Kris Viner, Senior Director at Robert Walters. Using Plumbing and Childcare as case studies, Kris shared practical strategies for employment that strongly resonated with students.

The resume and interview workshop was a highlight as it was really engaging and tailored to our students’ career goals. They all gained plenty of practical tips to maximise their chances of landing their dream job after school.
