Souths Cares Christmas Drive 2025: Spreading Joy and Giving Back
This Christmas, Souths Cares is bringing the festive spirit to the community through our annual Gift of Giving campaign. Our team has been visiting program participants and their families, community groups, and individuals across Sydney, delivering gifts, Christmas hampers, and essential support.
A key part of this year’s campaign was our Christmas Drive at the Souths Cares classroom at Heffron Park. The classroom was turned into a festive gift space where families and individuals could come in and choose their own presents ahead of Christmas. Giving people the chance to select gifts themselves helped take some of the pressure off families, while creating a welcoming, joyful space filled with Christmas spirit.
Across all of Souths Cares’ Christmas initiatives this year, we have helped support over 500 families, bringing joy and relief to a large number of households throughout the community.
While Christmas is a joyful time for many, it can also be a challenging period for families facing financial pressures. Rising living costs and everyday challenges mean that some children may miss out on the magic of the season. Souths Cares is committed to changing that, ensuring every child receives a gift and every family feels supported during this special time of year.
The generosity of our supporters has been overwhelming. Major donors such as Budget Direct and Vinnies Vans have contributed significant support, enabling the delivery of gifts and hampers to families across the community. In addition, contributors including MG Motor, TOT Transport, Modoras, Woolworths, Budgy Smugglers, and BodyFit have provided a mix of donations, from funds to Christmas treats, toys, and essentials. These contributions allow Souths Cares to bring a little extra magic to children and families during the festive season.
