On This Day: Sutton made his debut

On this day in 2004, the most capped Rabbitoh of all time, John Sutton, made his NRL debut.

While the Rabbitohs went down 48-28 against a star-studded Broncos at Suncorp Stadium, Sutton scored on debut in the centres.

A Souths Junior with Kensington United, little did we know he would later go on to play 336 games and Captain the Premiership-winning Rabbitohs of 2014.

Still involved with the current crop, Sutton is now a development Coach and wears the blue shirt during the games.
