David Dinte AM Honoured in King’s Birthday Honours

Souths Cares board member, David Dinte, has been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in recognition of his significant service to the not-for-profit sector, to the Jewish community and to children.

Mr Dinte, a noted businessman and philanthropist, has been a strong supporter of Souths Cares, the Rabbitohs Foundation and the South Sydney Rabbitohs for many years, having served on the Souths Cares board since 2015 and helped build the Rabbitohs Community and High Performance Centre at Heffron Park in Maroubra through his sizeable donations and support.

The players’ main video theatre at the USANA Rabbitohs Centre is named in honour of Mr Dinte and his wife Judy, commemorating their outstanding contributions to the Club and charities.

Rabbitohs CEO and fellow Souths Cares board member, Blake Solly, paid tribute to Mr Dinte following his award.

“David is one of the leaders in the philanthropic and not-for-profit sectors and this award is just reward for a life spent giving to, and caring for, others,” Mr Solly said.

“We only see what David does for Souths Cares, the Rabbitohs Foundation and the South Sydney Rabbitohs, but I know he assists many other charitable and not-for-profit organisations whilst still running his highly successful businesses.

“We thank David, and his wife Judy, for their support and dedication of our Club and charities, and we congratulate David on this fantastic award in the King’s Birthday Honours list.”
