The South Sydney Rabbitohs will wear a special ‘whiteout’ playing strip in Thursday night’s round 15 clash with the Brisbane Broncos, highlighting and honouring recently retired player, Jai Arrow.
The all-white playing strip will see the Rabbitohs’ usual red and green stripes replaced with white stripes. All of the Rabbitohs’ playing kit sponsors have also agreed to have their logos whited-out, creating a striking look to the Rabbitohs one-off playing kit.
The only colour on the jersey will be the name ‘ARROW’ across the shoulders of every player in green, turning all attention to Jai Arrow as an inspiration to everyone fighting motor neurone disease or those willing to stand beside Jai in his fight against the insidious disease. The players jersey numbers will be black.
ARROW
Stripped back. Past the colour. Past the noise. As far as it goes.
One name left on the back of the jersey. The man who earned it.
The same strength he has always played with, he carries now.
We carry it with him.
We've got your back, Arrow.
Rabbitohs CEO, Blake Solly, says the jersey will be a permanent indication of the Club’s support for Jai Arrow and its willingness to stand right beside him in his fight against MND.
“We felt it was appropriate to strip everything back for this game from our jersey, no distractions for the eye, all focus on the only colour on the jersey, which is the name ARROW in green on the back of all of our players,” Mr Solly said.
“Jai has earned everyone’s respect at our Club; at every Club at which he has played including our opponents this week, the Broncos; and indeed everyone across the game and, increasingly, in all walks of life.
“He always played with passion, with heart, and a deep care for his teammates and his Club.
“It’s now our turn to return that passion, heart and care to him in his fight against MND.
“We would like to thank all of our sponsors that have agreed to have their logos being stripped back on this playing kit, and I would particularly like to thank Classic Sportswear for making this playing kit possible at such short notice.
“Everyone is pitching in to help Jai and we encourage all of our Members and supporters to jump on board with this jersey and come and celebrate Jai’s career at Accor Stadium this Thursday.”
Members and supporters will be able to pre-order the ARROW whiteout jersey online by visiting https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/shop/. Proceeds from the sale of these jerseys will go directly to supporting Jai Arrow and his family.

Arrow will ring the Rabbitohs Legacy Bell as his teammates and the opposition form a guard of honour before entering the field of play in an emotional game day moment in the lead up to kick off.
Members and fans will also have the opportunity to take home a limited edition Jai Arrow poster from the game, as well as a Jai Arrow face mask, all celebrating his wonderful football career.
The Rabbitohs will be running a 50/50 raffle at the game and online, allowing Members and fans from all clubs the opportunity to help raise money for Jai and his family as well as research into motor neurone disease. There is a minimum prize of $30,000 for the winner, with 50% of all 50/50 raffle tickets sold going to Jai Arrow and his family as they prepare to fight this insidious disease.
