Rabbitohs forward Jai Arrow has won the Souths Cares Award for most outstanding contributions to the community for 2025, as presented by Souths Cares CEO, Alisha Parker-Elrez, at tonight’s Red and Green Ball at the Royal Randwick Racecourse.
Arrow’s commitment to supporting the community all over the country was unrivalled in 2025, earning him this recognition as well as the Club’s nomination for the NRL’s Ken Stephen Medal as the competition’s Man of the Year, of which he is a finalist.
Jai is a major contributor to the programs run by Souths Cares, including conducting junior Rugby League clinics, facilitating Rabbitohs Wellbeing workshops, raising awareness for Down Syndrome NSW with their activities with the Rabbitohs, delivering key health messages in schools, as well as visiting patients in hospitals across Sydney and Brisbane with the team at Souths Cares.
Outside of this community work, Jai is also a support worker and athlete ambassador with What Ability, an NDIS-registered disability support provider specialising in 1:1 community access, activities and overnight camps.
Jai is also a regular volunteer for Vinnies Food Trucks through the St Vincent de Paul Society, providing food relief to members of the community experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, social isolation and financial hardship. Jai has also worked to include teammates when volunteering with the Vinnies Food Trucks, including Campbell Graham.
Jai has travelled to Grafton in northern NSW for the past two years to support Mudyala Aboriginal Corporations annual Close the Gap day, as well as being a regular donor to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, supporting children and families with health difficulties that visit the USANA Rabbitohs Centre, helping various charities with fundraising efforts and donations, giving up his own time, money and resources to brighten the lives of those people who are less fortunate than him.
Jai is worthy recipient of the 2025 Souths Cares award and we congratulate on the impact he is having on many people’s lives right across the country.
