Jai Arrow Crowned Bob McCarthy Clubperson of the Year for 2025

Rabbitohs forward Jai Arrow has been crowned the Bob McCarthy Clubperson of the Year for season 2025, as presented by Mr McCarthy at the Royal Randwick Racecourse tonight.

2025 has been quite the season for Arrow, returning from a major shoulder operation in 2024 to lead the Rabbitohs forward pack in all 24 games played this season. He is also a member of Wayne Bennett’s leadership group and had the honour of captaining the Rabbitohs on numerous occasions throughout the season.

Jai’s contributions to the Club and his team are unrivalled, always happy to interact with Members and supporters, always willing to help with any promotion or to meet sponsors, always leading at training amongst the team and showing the famous South Sydney ‘never say die’ spirit on the field of play at every game.

Off the field, Arrow’s commitment to community work is unmatched, winning the Souths Cares award for contributions to the community earlier tonight, as well as being the Club’s Ken Stephen Medal nominee for the NRL’s Man of the year award.

Arrow also became a dad for the first time in 2025, with he and his partner welcoming daughter Ayla Rae to the world in April.

Bob McCarthy Clubman of the Year - Jai Arrow

Jai is a very positive influence around the club, acting as a leader, mentor and friend with everyone at the Club. The respect for Jai at the Club is displayed by the effect he has on people when they are in his company, and he is a worthy winner of the Bob McCarthy Clubperson of the Year award in 2025.

The Clubperson of the Year award is named after Bob McCarthy, one of the Rabbitohs’ greatest players of all time. McCarthy was part of the Rabbitohs’ golden era in the 1960s and early 1970s, playing 211 first grade games in the cardinal and myrtle, scoring 100 tries. He is a multiple Premiership-winning legend of the South Sydney club and is a regular attendee at past players’ reunions and training sessions to this very day, offering his continued support to the current crop of Rabbitohs players.

This is Jai’s second award of the night, having received the Souths Cares award for his outstanding contributions to the community earlier in the evening.

Congratulations to Jai Arrow on winning the 2025 Bob McCarthy Clubperson of the Year award.
