Jye Gray is the Roy Asotasi Member’s Choice for 2025
Rabbitohs fullback Jye Gray is this year’s winner of the Roy Asotasi Members’ Choice Award for 2025, presented by Member Co. Director, Sam Skontos, at tonight’s Red and Green Ball at the Royal Randwick Racecourse.
Gray has taken every opportunity presented to him throughout the 2025 season, to the point where he led the Dally M award voting in the early parts of the season.
Displaying his toughness by playing through the pain of a thumb injury, Gray showed that never say die South Sydney spirit which has endeared him to the Club’s Members.
Gray received almost 60% of the total votes from Members. Gray becomes the first fullback to win the Members’ Choice award, with the award dominated by captain Cameron Murray over the past four seasons.
The Members’ Choice award is named after former Rabbitohs, New Zealand and Samoa captain, Roy Asotasi, who played an integral part in attracting key signings to the Club when he joined South Sydney in 2007. The Award was named in his honour in 2013.
This is the second award of the night for Gray, having been awarded The Burrow Appreciation award earlier in the evening.
