Souths Cares commenced their Perth Regional Tour today, joining forces with Dementia Training Australia and NRL Western Australia to promote health, wellbeing and physical activity.
The three-day tour will see the organisations visit nine schools across a busy schedule. Today’s visits focused on primary schools in Perth’s southern suburbs, including Baldivis Primary School, Bertram Primary School and Hillman Primary School.

With the Souths Cares and Dementia Training Australia partnership launched earlier this year, the Perth Regional Tour marks the first opportunity for the two organisations to work side-by-side in promoting positive health knowledge and awareness.
Dr. Isabelle Meyer, Executive Director at Dementia Training AustraliaWe’re thrilled to team up with Souths Cares to spark conversations about health and wellbeing at every age – and to help raise a generation of compassionate, dementia-aware Australian’s ready to make a real difference.
Souths Cares workshops, delivered by Erin Geddes and Yileen Gordon, focused on the three fundamentals of health for primary school students – physical activity, nutrition and sleep.
Angus Robilliard, Impact and Funding Manager at Souths CaresWe really enjoyed visiting three schools today and sharing important health messages with students. It’s great to see Souths Cares so warmly welcomed into communities and schools in Western Australia.
Workshops were complemented by Rugby League clinics delivered by NRL Western Australia. Following the recent visit by the South Sydney Rabbitohs to Perth, and with the Perth Bears set to enter the NRL in 2027, the growth and passion for Rugby League in the region continues to build.
