South Sydney Rabbitohs Tarsha Gale Cup halfback Kiara McGregor has been selected in the Westpac NSW Under 19s Women’s squad for the 2026 Under 19s Women’s State of Origin clash against Queensland.
McGregor’s selection continues a standout season for the talented playmaker, who recently capped off an impressive Tarsha Gale Cup campaign by being named the Rabbitohs’ Tarsha Gale Cup Player of the Year at the Club’s Junior Pathways Awards Night. A key organiser throughout the Rabbitohs’ 2026 Tarsha Gale Cup season, McGregor’s strong kicking game, composure and attacking qualities have seen her recognised among the state’s best emerging young players.
The New South Wales Rugby League announced a 20-player squad for the annual representative fixture, with players selected from the NRLW, NSW Women’s Premiership and Westpac Tarsha Gale Cup competitions. The Westpac NSW Under 19s Women will enter the match as the current Shield holders, having defeated Queensland in each of the past two seasons. The Under 19s Women’s State of Origin match will be played at North Sydney Oval on Thursday 18 June.
South Sydney congratulates Kiara on her selection and wishes her all the best.
