Tallis Duncan's 2026 season was his best yet in the red and green. Across 22 NRL appearances he scored 12 tries, made 16 line breaks and ran for 2927 metres, and he did it while switching between the second row and the centres.
His first big statement came in round eight. Against the Melbourne Storm, Duncan scored three tries, made three line breaks and ran for 164 metres in a 48-6 win.
From round 12 the Club began using him in the centres, and he made the most of it. He ran for 200 metres and broke seven tackles in a 48-6 win over the Brisbane Broncos in round 15, then crossed twice against the Parramatta Eels two weeks later. He scored again against the Newcastle Knights in round 19, before tries in back-to-back weeks against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the New Zealand Warriors. He finished the regular season with a double against the Gold Coast Titans in round 26 as South Sydney won 42-22.
Duncan gave the Rabbitohs real value with and without the ball. He averaged 133 running metres a game and added 72 tackle breaks, 16 offloads, eight try assists and 10 line-break assists. In defence he made 541 tackles at 91% efficiency.
He returned to the second row for the Elimination Final against the Newcastle Knights at Allianz Stadium, playing the full 80 minutes to close his season.
Duncan's breakthrough campaign closes with 22 NRL appearances this season, 12 tries, 2827 metres and 16 line breaks. He gave South Sydney a dependable edge presence and a growing attacking role, with the balance of his game marking an important year in the red and green. Duncan heads into 2027 as one of South Sydney's most versatile and productive players.
