Bronson Garlick's homecoming season gave South Sydney a dependable and versatile option through the middle. He made 11 NRL appearances in the red and green in 2026, most of them at hooker, while also covering lock, the second row and the interchange.
He was part of the Rabbitohs' side from the opening night. Starting at hooker against the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium in round one, he made 20 tackles in 39 minutes in a 40-30 win.
His standout performance came against his former Club in round eight. Garlick started at hooker against the Storm, played 74 minutes and made 33 tackles as South Sydney ran out 48-6 winners. Two weeks later he made a season-high 35 tackles in 59 minutes against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.
His game was built on ruck service and defence. Garlick made 236 tackles at 94.02% efficiency across the season and handled the ball 530 times, giving the forwards around him quick, clean service from dummy half.
Round 21 brought a milestone with extra meaning. Garlick ran out at lock against the Storm for his 50th NRL game, and the Rabbitohs edged his old Club 28-26.
With 50 first-grade games now to his name, Garlick's first season back at South Sydney added experience and versatility to the Club's forward group.
