Women’s Team Falls to Mounties to Season Finale

The South Sydney Rabbitohs’ Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership team fell to Mounties at Redfern Oval on Saturday in their last game of the season, 28 points to 10.

Mounties scored six tries to the Rabbitohs’ two in a commanding performance.

The Rabbitohs led six-nil early following a try to halfback Kiara McGregor, and would score again in the 30th minute through five-eighth Luisa Yaranamua.

South Sydney trailed 12-10 at the halftime break, with Mounties kicking on in the second half to record an 18-point victory.

McGregor, centre Kesha Church and second rower Jazmon Tupou-Witchman were rated the Rabbitohs’ best.

The Rabbitohs finished their season in sixth position on the ladder in the 12-team competition, having recorded 11 competition points from five wins and one draw from their 11 games.
