Rabbitohs Deepen Central Coast Commitment with Gosford Game and Pathways

As part of the South Sydney Rabbitohs commitment to the Central Coast region, the Club is proud to present another home game in Gosford at polytec Stadium on Saturday, 21 March at 7:30pm. General Public sales are now open and available through Ticketek.

In the lead-up to the match in Gosford, Souths Cares, the Rabbitohs’ community arm, will deliver a series of school-based programs across the Central Coast through Rugby League footy clinics and wellbeing workshops. In 2025, Souths Cares engaged 31,489 students through its wellbeing workshops, reaching more than 18,000 students in metropolitan areas and over 13,400 students in regional communities, across 78 schools.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are also proud to announce a new coaching, development, and pathways partnership with the Ourimbah Wyoming Magpies, aimed at strengthening opportunities for male and female Rugby League players across the Central Coast region.

Under the partnership, the Rabbitohs will work closely with the Magpies to enhance coaching standards, player development, and long-term pathways from grassroots through to senior football. The collaboration will support players from under fives through to first grade across both men’s and women’s programs, including the James Maloney Academy.

Rabbitohs CEO, Blake Solly, said the partnership reflects the Club’s ongoing commitment to investing in grassroots Rugby League and supporting community pathways.

“The Rabbitohs and the Ourimbah Wyoming Magpies share strong working-class values and a deep connection to their communities, which makes this a partnership we’re very pleased to be part of.

“Working together allows us to support local Rugby League by improving development structures and creating clearer pathways for players and coaches.”

Rabbitohs Head of Pathways David Furner

"Strong pathways start with strong community clubs. This partnership allows us to align coaching and development principles and support players and coaches at every stage of their journey.”

As part of the partnership, the Rabbitohs will provide the Magpies with enhanced coaching resources, development expertise, pathways guidance, and structured support for both players and coaches.

As part of this delivery, Souths Cares and the NRL will run a Junior Footy Clinic at Sohier Park for registered Ourimbah Wyoming Magpies players, with current and former Rabbitohs NRL players supporting the activities.

Ourimbah Wyoming Magpies Coaching Director Tony Clarke welcomed the partnership.

“This is a groundbreaking opportunity for Rugby League in Ourimbah,” Mr Clarke said

“Partnering with South Sydney gives all our players — from under fives to first grade, men and women — the best coaching resources and opportunity to achieve their goals in the region.”
