The South Sydney Rabbitohs Junior Pathways teams had a mixed weekend across Round five, with the boys' sides delivering two commanding victories while the girls' teams faced tough oppositions. The SG Ball Cup and Harold Matthews Cup squads both travelled to 4 Pines Park and returned with comprehensive wins over the Sea Eagles, while the Tarsha Gale Cup and Lisa Fiaola Cup sides went down to the Knights at Redfern Oval.
SG Ball Cup
The SG Ball Cup side produced a clinical display at 4 Pines Park, running in seven tries to claim a 38-6 victory over the Sea Eagles. Dayne Jennings crossed for two tries and added three conversions for a 16-point personal haul, while Taj Alvarez also bagged a double to keep the scoreboard ticking over. Joshua Ballard, Bailey Grey and Lochlin Moses each crossed for four-pointers as the Rabbitohs spread the scoring threat across the park. Isaac Fotu-Moala chipped in with two goals from the kicking tee to round out a polished team effort.

Harold Matthews Cup
The Harold Matthews Cup squad also enjoyed a strong afternoon at 4 Pines Park, securing a 30-10 win over the Sea Eagles. Six different players crossed the tryline as the Red and Green showcased their depth across the park. Benjamin Wright, Devida Hopoate and Charlie Bateup all found their way over, while Zavier Suluvale-Liumaunu, Tukia Fotu-Moala and Taoko Samson added further four-pointers. Payton Tarau was reliable with the boot, slotting three conversions to help the Rabbitohs to a comfortable 20-point winning margin.

Tarsha Gale Cup
The Tarsha Gale Cup side faced a strong Knights outfit at Redfern Oval and went down 8-28 in a challenging afternoon. Despite the result, the Rabbitohs showed plenty of fight, with Keilani Manu and Sahara Mason both crossing for tries to ensure South Sydney got on the scoreboard. The Cardinal and Myrtle will look to regroup ahead of Round six as they continue to build combinations through the middle stages of the season.

Lisa Fiaola Cup
The Lisa Fiaola Cup side had a difficult outing at Redfern Oval, going down 6-50 to the Knights. Emmaline Falepapalangi crossed for the Rabbitohs' lone try, with Bronte McKee adding the conversion. It was a tough day at the office against a clinical Knights side, but the young squad will take the lessons from this match and look to bounce back in the coming rounds.
