A number of Rabbitohs players are in line to return to the field of play during the first month of the NRL premiership, with only forwards Siliva Havili and Liam Knight not due back in the opening rounds.
Siliva Havili
Havili had surgery for a tendon injury in his ankle during the pre-season. His rehabilitation program is going well. Havili is due back mid-season.
Liam Knight
Knight had a knee reconstruction last year following a cannonball tackle by an Eels player in a NSW Cup match. Liam is back to running and he is running well. He is currently starting light skills drills with the team and is aiming for a return to play mid-season. This will be a total rehabilitation time of around nine months.
Jacob Host
Host sustained a calf strain following the Charity Shield. He is due to return in the opening rounds of the season.
Hame Sele
Sele similarly suffered a calf strain in the pre-season trial and is due to return in the opening rounds of the season.
Dean Hawkins
Hawkins suffered a hamstring strain in the pre-season. He will start training with the team from next week and is projected to return to play in the early on in the season.
