The South Sydney Rabbitohs recently wrapped up a powerful and inspiring four-day wellbeing tour across Perth, reaching almost 3000 students in eight schools with important messages of respect, resilience, and health.
Delivered through the Rabbitohs Wellbeing Program, the tour featured two key workshops: the Social Responsibility workshop, which tackled vital topics like racism, bullying, and building healthy relationships, and Your Health, OWN IT!, focused on improving physical and mental wellbeing through nutrition, movement, and sleep.
Thanks to NRL WA, NRL development officers also ran clinics for the kids to break up the sessions in schools, which the students absolutely loved. The interactive clinics kept students active, engaged, and smiling throughout the sessions.

A major highlight of the tour was the involvement of current NRL star Tyrone Munro, whose presence deeply resonated with the students. His open and relatable approach helped drive home the importance of the workshops' themes, making the sessions both engaging and meaningful.
Tyrone Munro"It gets me out of my comfort zone, coming here and teaching kids about nutrition and health. Hopefully, they take something valuable from it."
Club ambassadors and former NRL players Rhys Wesser and Yileen Gordon also brought their experience and passion to the tour, connecting with students through personal stories and shared community values. Their continued commitment to empowering young people made a significant impression throughout the week.
The feedback from schools was overwhelmingly positive, with educators praising the Rabbitohs for delivering relatable, real-life lessons in a way that truly connects with young people.
Beau Jones, Year 9 and 10 coordinator, Cecil Andrews College"We have around 1,200 students here, with 35% identifying as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander. South Sydney are the first club to ever come to our school and run a workshop with the students. We're so grateful to the Rabbitohs and the team for giving our school and our students the opportunity to learn, engage, and ask questions."
This tour reaffirms the Rabbitohs' ongoing commitment to using the power of sport to inspire and educate the next generation. It’s not just about football—it’s about building stronger, healthier, and more respectful communities.
