The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their squad for their round five match against the Bulldogs to be played this Good Friday 3 April at 4:05pm at Accor Stadium, the Club’s first home game at Accor Stadium for the 2026 season.
Rabbitohs Head Coach Wayne Bennett has named Campbell Graham to return on the wing, with Lachlan Hubner returning to the interchange bench.
A bumper crowd is expected at the traditional Good Friday fixture between two clubs with large and passionate supporter bases. Last year, over 65,000 Members and fans attended the corresponding fixture, with Ticketed Members from both clubs having access to this game, as well as the return match in round 24.
The curtain raiser match will be the NSW Cup fixture between South Sydney and Canterbury-Bankstown which is set to start at 1:45pm. Gates open at 1:30pm.
South Sydney Rabbitohs modern-day legend, Nathan Merritt, will ring the Club’s Legacy Bell as the Rabbitohs run out for the first half, celebrating his enormous contribution to the Club since it’s reinstatement in 2002. Merritt, Rabbitohs first grade player number 974, played 218 first grade games for South Sydney over 11 seasons, scoring 146 tries, which at the time was a record for the Club. A home-grown South Sydney man, Merritt is facing significant health challenges at the moment and the Rabbitohs are calling on all Members and supporters to get to this Friday’s match to pay tribute to Nathan Merritt to support their team from the stands at Accor Stadium.
Rabbitohs’ match day sponsor, Budget Direct, will also make one lucky fan $1,000 richer with their Budget Direct Rabbit Run at half time of the NRL game.
The Rabbitohs Fan Zone will also be in full swing from 1:30pm-3:30pm with face painting, jumping castles and chances to win great prizes courtesy of Wahu.
