The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their squad for round 16 against the Melbourne Storm, part of a huge triple header to be played this Saturday 21 June at 7:35pm at Accor Stadium.
Rabbitohs Head Coach Wayne Bennett has named Latrell Mitchell to return at fullback, Lewis Dodd at five-eighth, Davvy Moale in the front row and Sean Keppie on the interchange bench for this game.
Round 16 is the Rabbitohs’ Old Boys Day, where the Club will celebrate those players who have laid the platform for today’s stars to take the field in the cardinal red and myrtle green of South Sydney. SPA, the Souths Players Association, will be celebrating on the day with past players of the Club in attendance taking part in a pre-game lap of honour around Accor Stadium.
The Rabbitohs will also be debuting their new team entrance bell at this game. The bell is a famous symbol of the South Sydney Rabbitohs and a new bell has been cast to bring the team out onto the field in the first half, which will be rung by significant people that are part of the South Sydney family. Ringing the bell for the first time will be Rabbitohs captain Cameron Murray and his father Corey, who played for the Rabbitohs between 1991 and 1993.
Gates at Accor Stadium will open at 3:15pm with the Jersey Flegg Cup under 21s men’s fixture between the Rabbitohs and the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles scheduled to kick off at 3:25pm, followed by the NSW Cup match between the Rabbitohs and Sea Eagles at 5:15pm.
