Former Rabbitoh Dr. Nathan Gibbs Awarded NSWRL Life Membership

Former South Sydney Rabbitohs forward Nathan Gibbs has been awarded Life Membership of the NSW Rugby League (NSWRL) in recognition of more than four decades of service to Rugby League.

Dr Gibbs began his Rugby League journey at Marcellin College in Randwick before progressing through the Junior Representative ranks at the South Sydney Rabbitohs. He went on to play 86 first grade matches for Souths between 1978 and 1983, including being part of the Club’s 1981 Tooth Cup-winning side, before finishing his playing career with nine games for the Parramatta Eels in 1984.

Following his retirement from playing, Dr Gibbs has built a longstanding career in sports medicine, serving as team doctor for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, the Australian Kangaroos and the NSW Blues.
