An ode to The Timekeeper's Bell - symbolising the resilience and strength of our Club.
Our strength, our story.
The Timekeeper's Bell is more than just a symbol; it's the echo of passion, resilience, and triumph that has resonated through generations of fans. Few symbols in Australian rugby league carry such symbolism. First rung at the Rabbitohs’ inaugural match, it has come to represent the club’s resilience, heritage, and deep community roots. Treasured by longtime timekeeper Albert Clift and later bought by Russell Crowe during the club’s fight for reinstatement, the Timekeeper's bell has marked historic moments—from Souths’ 2002 NRL return to their 2014 premiership win.
The Commemorative Bell is now available for purchase as part of this Member exclusive bundle. The Commemorative Bell remains a powerful echo of the Rabbitohs’ enduring legacy, with each ring of the bell telling a story—a testament to our Club's unwavering spirit and the bond we share with our community.
Celebrating the Legacy of the Timekeeper's Bell
Members can now purchase the Commemorative Bell as part of a bundle, including the Rally flag. Starting in round 16, these bells will ring out around the stadium.
You must have ordered before June 6, 2025 to receive your bell in time for round 16, when this game day tradition will kick-off! Commemorative Bell & Flag packages will be available to purchase at round 15 and round 16 matches at Accor Stadium.
A tribute to the Club’s proudest moment—the Save The Game March in 2000.
Never Say Die.
The Rally Flag is a tribute to the club’s roots and proudest moments. The flag symbolises our journey back to glory. A reminder of what we’ve fought for and what we continue to stand for.
On November 12, 2000, the Red and Green faithful took to the streets, led by Club Legend George Piggins, to protest against their exclusion from the NRL competition. The march began outside the Clubs' doors on Chalmers Street and went through to Town Hall, with the likes of John Sattler, Bob McCarthy and the late Frank Hyde and Jack Gibson joining in the protest against one of the greatest injustices in Australian sport. It was a victory not only for South Sydney but for the greatest game of all.
