Wotif & South Sydney Rabbitohs ‘Win the chance to travel with the team to Magic Round” – Terms & Conditions (“Conditions of Entry”)

All times outlined herein are in AEST or AEDT, as applicable in NSW.

Eligible Entrants:

Entry is only open to NSW residents aged 18 years or over.

Entrants must be able to attend the Eligible Match (as defined in the "Eligible Match" section below), with two (2) tickets provided if they do not already have tickets. All other costs associated with travel to and from the Eligible Match (including any applicable flights, accommodation, etc.) will be the responsibility of the Entrants and their guests, noting the date, time and/or location of the Eligible Match may change. See the "Eligible Match" section below for more details.

Eligible Matches:

Round 6 – Rabbitohs vs. Sharks Rugby League game on Saturday 13th April 2024 at Stadium Australia, Edwin Flack Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park, NSW, 2127, Australia.

If the above listed match does not go ahead or goes ahead without spectators, due to COVID-19 or any other unforeseen circumstances, the Game for the Eligible Match will be conducted at a different match at an alternative date, time and/or location as determined by the Promoter, and the alternative match or location determined by the Promoter will be considered the "Eligible Match" for the purposes of this Promotion.

How to Enter:

To enter the Promotion, the entrant must, during the Promotional Period, visit https://rabbitohs.ac-page.com/wotifmatchdaycampaign, follow the Prompts to the Wotif & South Sydney Rabbitohs – “Travel with the team to Magic Round” competition, enter their personal details (first name, last name, email address, State, postcode and mobile phone number) and submit the fully completed entry form to register for the Promotion.

Entries Permitted:

Limit one (1) entry permitted per person. Any entries (above limit specified above) from the same person/email/phone number and fraudulent entries will be disqualified.

Final Determination (6 in total):

a) The draw will take place at South Sydney Rabbitohs, USANA Rabbitohs Centre, 417-439 Bunnerong Road, Maroubra, 2035 12:00 pm (AEST) on Monday 8th April 2024 using computerised random selection.

b) All entries received during the Promotional Period will be entered into the Draw. The first six (6) valid entries drawn (“Finalists”) will be required to participate in an on-field elimination style activity (“the Qualifying Activity”) in order to determine which two (2) entrants will take part in the Game for the chance to go on the travel with the team to Magic Round (“Major Prize”). The Qualifying Activity will take place at half-time of the Eligible Match. The two (2) Finalists to successfully ‘win’ against the other four (4) Finalists, based on the result of the Qualifying Activity will have the opportunity to take part in the Game (“the Players”).

c) The draw conductor may draw additional reserve entries and record them in order in case an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn or a drawn participant cannot participate in the Qualifying Activities and/or the Game.

d) Details and rules of the Qualifying Activity, including requirements to ‘win’, will be communicated to Finalists prior to the start of the activities. The four (4) Finalists who do not proceed to win the Prize will each be awarded the consolation prize of one (1) x $500 travel voucher which can be redeemed on wotif.com on select hotels each (“Minor Prize”).

e) The Minor Prizes coupon will detail the booking deadline and travel must be completed before 31 December 2024. Click here for full T&C’s and here for hotel exclusions. The Minor Prizes are supplied by Expedia, Inc. 1111 Expedia Group Way W., Seattle, Washington 98119 USA (“Wotif”).

f) The six (6) Finalists will each be provided with two (2) tickets to the Eligible Match (if they do not already have a ticket). All costs associated with travel to and from the Eligible Match (including any applicable flights, accommodation, etc.) will be the responsibility of the Finalists and their guest.

g) Finalists unable or unwilling to attend the Eligible Match will forfeit their ability to participate in the Qualifying Activities and the Game.

h) If a Finalist cannot be contacted by 2pm (AEST) on Tuesday 9th April 2024, the Promoter will contact the next reserve finalist. This process will continue with each entrant having 2 hours (120 minutes) to call the Promoter back and accept participation in the Qualifying Activities and Game from the first phone call to them by the Promoter. If a Finalist fails to do so they will forfeit their right to participate in the Qualifying Activities and Game and therefore their opportunity to win a prize.

Under no circumstances whatsoever will a proxy or replacement participant be permitted to take part in the Qualifying Activities or Game, if the Finalist is unable to participate for any reason. An ID check may be carried out by the Promotional Staff prior to the Qualifying Activities and Game starting to ensure the Finalist is the correct eligible Qualifying Activities or Game participant.

Game Details:

• The Game will be broadcasted on the ‘Big Screens at Stadium Australia’ at halftime at the Eligible Match on the 13th April 2024. The Game will take place immediately after the Qualifying Activity.

• The Players will play the Game for a chance to travel with the team to Magic Round for them and a guest (2 people max). The Winner will travel to the Rabbitohs Magic Round fixture in Brisbane, with accommodation and travel, as well as F&B paid for by Wotif, with the total prize value being up to $6,500.

• There will be a head-to-head quiz between the fastest two Players from the Qualifying Activity. The Players will be shown a series of slow reveal puzzles on the Big Screen, with Players able to answer by pressing their buzzer. If they answer the question correctly, they are awarded one (1) point.

• The head-to-head quiz will last for precisely two (2) minutes, with the contestant with the most amount of points winning the Major Prize. In the event of a draw and a tie-break being required, there will be one final question with the first person to answer correctly being awarded the Major Prize.

Major Prize Conditions:

• The “travel with the team to Magic Round” prize consists of:

• Travel for two (2) people to Magic Round in Brisbane, to watch the South Sydney Rabbitohs home fixture against the North Queensland Cowboys on Saturday 18th May 2024.

• Inclusions for the Major Prize are:

o Two (2) Diamond tickets to all three days of Magic Round – Friday 17th – Sunday 19th May 2024.

o Two (2) Return economy flights from Sydney to Brisbane. For clarity, the winner and their guest must travel at the same time.

o Five (5) consecutive nights’ accommodation for two (2) people twin share in Brisbane from Thursday 16th – Tuesday 21st May 2024 at a minimum of a 3* accommodation facility.

o Two (2) three day Dream World passes for two (2) people. Transport to and from the accommodation to each day of Magic Round and to Dream World and a spending allowance for two (2) people fulfilled by a $2000 EFTPOS gift card (https://perfecteftposcard.com.au/terms-and-conditions/)

o Attendance at the Rabbitohs Captain’s Run event hosted by the South Sydney Rabbitohs which takes place on Friday 17th May 2024.

o Attendance at the Rabbitohs team dinner on Thursday 16th May 2024 at a location to be determined by the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

• If the Major Prize winner is unable or unwilling to attend the Magic Round, then they will forfeit their attendance at this fixture and there will be no alternative prize.

• The Major Prize is non-transferable.

The following components of the Major Prize: Magic Round tickets, accommodation, flights, transport from the prize accommodation to the Magic Round and Dream World and meal allowance will be supplied by Wotif. Wotif will work with the winner to provide them with their itinerary and travel details.

If the Major Prize Winner would like to extend their stay or amend any part of the Major Prize, this will be at their own cost.

Total Prize Pool:

Up to $7,000.00

Winner Notification:

Each Winner will be notified within a day of the Promotion End Date via phone and email. The Winner will be published at www.rabbitohs.com.au/competitions the first business day after the Winner has accepted the Prize.

  1. The entrant agrees and acknowledges that they have read these Conditions of Entry (and Schedule) and that entry into the Promotion is deemed to be acceptance of these Conditions of Entry (and Schedule). Any capitalised terms used in these Conditions of Entry have the meaning given in the Schedule, unless stated otherwise.

  2. The Promotion commences on the Start Date and ends on the End Date ("Promotional Period"). Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission or deposit by the entrant. Records of the Promoter and its agencies are final and conclusive as to the time of receipt.

  3. Valid and eligible entries will be accepted during the Promotional Period.

  4. Employees (and the immediate family members) of the Participating Venues, agencies/companies directly associated with the conduct of this Promotion, prize supplier, the Promoter, its distributors, suppliers, subsidiary companies/businesses and associated companies and agencies are not eligible to enter. "Immediate family member" means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.

  5. If a draw is scheduled on the weekend or a public holiday, the draw will be conducted at the same time and location on the following business day. The Promoter will ensure each draw is open for public scrutiny and anyone may witness the draw on request. The winner of a drawn prize is determined by chance.

  6. All reasonable attempts will be made to contact each winner.

  7. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming a voucher/gift card/movie ticket are not included. Voucher must be used in one transaction and any unused balance of a voucher/gift card is forfeited and will not be awarded as cash. Redemption of a voucher/gift card/movie ticket is subject to any terms and conditions of the issuer including those specified on the voucher/gift card/movie ticket.

  8. All event ticket prizes are subject to the event venue and ticket terms and conditions, including any applicable age restriction. The Promoter and event organisers hereby expressly reserve the right to eject any winner (and/or his/her companion/s) for any inappropriate behaviour, including but not limited to intoxication, whilst participating in any element of the prize.

  9. If any winner chooses not to take their prize (or is unable to),or does not take or claim a prize by the time specified by the Promoter, or is unavailable at the designated time for the Event, they forfeit the prize and the Promoter is not obliged to substitute the prize.

  10. All prize travel is subject to availability at all times. Redeeming the prize is conditional on acceptance of the terms and conditions of travel as detailed by Wotif and their travel partners. The prizes are non-refundable or transferable. The winner/s are responsible for any amendment fees issued by airlines or suppliers once booking is confirmed and ticketed. Any additional spending money, meals (other than those included) and any other ancillary costs, including but not limited to insurance and any applicable insurance excesses, not listed in the travel prize descriptions above are the responsibility of the winner and his/her nominated traveling guest as incurred. It is the winner's responsibility to organise transport to/from the airport departure/return point at their own cost (if applicable).

  11. All elements of the prizes provided by Wotif must be taken as and when offered and on the dates specified or will be forfeited, and if forfeited, Wotif will not be liable. Prizes provided by Wotif are subject to additional terms and conditions imposed by the relevant supplier or Wotif, including, as relevant:

(a) validity period/s;

(b) booking and availability of flights and accommodation;

(c) conditions of travel (including behaviour requirements);

(d) travel dates;

(e) any additional fees (payable by you) relating to changes made by you to a travel prize after it has been booked;

(f) a requirement to present your credit card when checking in to accommodation.

  1. Any failure by winner/s to comply with the conditions imposed by a prize supplier may result in the prize being cancelled or withdrawn without liability to the prize supplier. For travel prizes winner/s accept that some aspects of their prize may be inherently risky and that the prize may involve dangerous activities. Winners must, if required by the prize supplier, sign a disclaimer and release provided by prize supplier in favour of prize supplier and other parties before taking the prize.

  2. Where entry is allowed by purchase or subscription, the cost of the product or service is no greater than the cost would be without the opportunity to participate in the Promotion.

  3. The value of the prizes is accurate and based upon the recommended retail value of the prizes (inclusive of GST) at the date of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prizes after that date.

  4. No part of a prize is exchangeable, redeemable for cash or any other prize or transferable, unless otherwise specified in writing by the Promoter.

  5. If a prize (or portion of a prize) is unavailable the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that portion of the prize) to a prize of equal or greater value and/or specification.

  6. No entry fee is charged by the Promoter to enter the Promotion.

  7. Each prize will be awarded to the person named in the entry and any entry that is made on behalf of an entrant or by a third party will be invalid. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant or winner, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant or winner.

  8. Entrants' personal information will be collected by the Promoter. Personal information will be stored on the Promoter's database. The Promoter may use this information for future marketing purposes regarding its products, including contacting the entrant electronically. The Promoter is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and its privacy policy which is located at https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/privacy-policy . The Promoter's privacy policy contains information about how the entrant may access, update and seek correction of the personal information the Promoter holds about them and how the entrant may complain about any potential breach by the Promoter of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other Australian privacy laws and how such complaints will be dealt with. The Promoter collects personal information about entrants to enable them to participate in this Promotion and may disclose the entrants' personal information to third parties including its contractors and agents, prize suppliers and service providers to assist in conducting this Promotion and to the State and Territory lottery departments as required under the relevant lottery legislation. If the entrant does not provide their personal information as requested, they may be ineligible to enter the Promotion. The Promoter does not envisage that it will transfer your personal information to any persons or corporations outside Australia. However, if it becomes necessary to do so, we will only do so if the recipient of the information is subject to the laws that are equivalent to the Australian Privacy Principles.

  9. Wotif may collect your personal information directly or through the Promoter, our agents or contractors. Wotif will use your personal information as necessary in order to fulfil its prize supplier obligations for the Promotion. Wotif may disclose your personal information to its related companies, agents, and contractors to assist in fulfilling its prize supplier obligations for the Promotion, communicating with you, or storing data. This may include disclosures to organizations outside Australia in places such as the United States.   10. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all aspects of a prize, if the Promoter determines in their absolute discretion, that a winner is not in the physical or mental condition necessary to be able to safely participate in or accept the prize. It is a condition of accepting the prize that a winner may be required to sign a legal release as determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion, prior to receiving a prize.

  11. If a prize is provided to the Promoter by a third party, the prize is subject to the terms and conditions of the third-party prize supplier and the provision of the prize is the sole responsibility of the third party and not the Promoter. The terms and conditions which apply to the prize at the time it is issued to the winner will prevail over these Conditions of Entry, to the extent of any inconsistency. The Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for any delay or failure by the third party to deliver the prize, any delay or failure relating to the prize itself or failure by the third party to meet any of its obligations in these Conditions of Entry or otherwise.

  12. Any guarantee or warranty given is in addition to any relevant statutory guarantees and warranties and nothing in these Conditions of Entry restricts, excludes or modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

  13. If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize, subject to State or Territory regulation.

  14. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to validate and check the authenticity of entries and entrant's details (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence). In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof as required by the Promoter to validate their entry, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered. Incomplete, indecipherable, inaudible, incorrect and illegible entries, as applicable, will at the Promoter's discretion be deemed invalid and not eligible to win. Entries containing offensive or defamatory comments, or which breach any law or infringe any third party rights, including intellectual property rights, are not eligible to win. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an individual to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and may render all entries submitted by that individual invalid.

  15. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries in the event of non-compliance with these Conditions of Entry. In the event that there is a dispute concerning the conduct of the Promotion, the decision of the Promoter is final and binding on each entrant and no correspondence will be entered into.

  16. The Promoter, Wotif and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence or wilful misconduct) in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using any prize (or recommendation), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).

  17. The entrant will participate in and co-operate as required with all reasonable marketing and editorial activities relating to the Promotion, including (but not limited to) being recorded, photographed, filmed or interviewed and acknowledges that the Promoter and Wotif may use any such marketing and editorial material without further reference or compensation to them.

  18. Unless otherwise specified, a prize is a single event for the winner (and their guests) and cannot be separated into separate events or components.

  19. The Promoter and Wotif accept no responsibility for any tax implications and the entrant must seek their own independent financial advice in regards to the tax implications relating to the prize or acceptance of the prize.

  20. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of these rights.
