The Liverpool Opportunity Hub was established in 2020 in partnership with Training Services NSW.
The program provides holistic support to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander school students in Liverpool LGA between grades 5 until after they complete their HSC.
Key program activities include:
- Health and Wellbeing workshops in schools.
- Before and after school programs including Breakfast Bootcamps and Homework Hubs.
- Individualized mentoring to support students overcome education and employment barriers.
- Cultural workshops.
- Industry visits and tertiary education tasters.
- Securing work experience and school-based traineeships.
- Career planning and increasing job readiness through resume writing, interview skills, building -confidence, professional presentation etc.
- Mentoring support for 12 months after participants complete school.
- An annual Employment and Wellbeing Expo.
