Campbell Graham says South Sydney's injury-ravaged recent seasons have left the squad battle-hardened and confident in their depth as they prepare to face a desperate Melbourne Storm outfit this week.

South Sydney face a dangerous Melbourne Storm side this week, with Graham acknowledging the opposition will bring significant desperation to the contest. The Storm's need for victory makes them a formidable challenge, regardless of personnel changes.
"Melbourne when they're on, they've got a good system down there, so no matter who's playing for them they'll be a tough outfit," Graham said. The winger emphasised that the Rabbitohs share that same urgency as they look to cement their position in the top eight during the back end of the season.
Graham said the team is determined to make up for their previous weekend's performance and will be focused on matching the Storm's intensity from the opening whistle.
Confident in Squad Depth

Graham praised Fifita's contribution since returning from hamstring setbacks, describing him as a special player who runs the ball hard. "I love playing on the edge with him," he said. However, the winger expressed confidence that the squad's depth could cover any absences if required.
On Murray's potential absence, Graham was frank about the magnitude of the loss. The captain's influence extends beyond his on-field performance, providing leadership and confidence to those around him. "He's our captain, he's our leader, and he's just one of those blokes that gives you confidence when you're running out there with him," Graham said.
Despite acknowledging Murray as a massive loss for however long he remains unavailable, Graham pointed to previous examples of players successfully filling the role and doing a great job for the team. The winger said the squad remains confident they can steer the ship during Murray's absence and hopes to be in a strong position when the captain returns.
Battle-Hardened by Recent Seasons
Graham believes the Rabbitohs' injury challenges over recent years have inadvertently prepared the squad for exactly these situations. Players who have stepped up to fill roles during previous injury crises have gained valuable experience that now provides the team with proven options.
"It's probably battle-hardened from the last couple of seasons really, like there's been, it's no secret how many injuries we've had over the last couple of seasons and the boys who have stepped up and had to fill those roles at times have done a great job," he said.
The winger suggested this accumulated experience has put the Rabbitohs in good stead when key players go down, with the squad holding full confidence that those who have performed the job before will do so again. Graham described it as one silver lining from the difficult circumstances of recent years.
