South Sydney Rabbitohs captain Cameron Murray has been named in the New South Wales Blues squad for Game One of the 2026 Ampol State of Origin series, set to take place at Accor Stadium in Sydney on Wednesday 27 May.
Murray has been selected on the interchange bench by coach Laurie Daley, continuing a long-standing relationship with the Blues that dates back to his debut for the state in 2019. Across 15 Origin appearances and six seasons in sky blue, the 28-year-old has been a reliable workhorse in the NSW forward pack, winning eight of those games and consistently ranking among the Blues' leading ball-runners and tacklers.
His form through the opening rounds of 2026 has only strengthened his case. Murray has been as reliable as ever through the opening months of the season, a consistent contributor for the Rabbitohs across all 10 rounds he has featured in so far.
