Rabbitohs and Bears to Play First Leg for the Mario Fenech Cup

The South Sydney Rabbitohs and North Sydney Bears will play in the first leg of the Mario Fenech Cup for season 2023, a new trophy struck to celebrate the career of the great South Sydney captain and former Bears front rower.

The Rabbitohs and Bears will play for the Mario Fenech Cup across the two NSW Cup matches each year, with team with the highest aggregate score across the two games claiming the trophy each season.

This round seven match to be played Sunday 16 April will be the first leg at North Sydney Oval at 2pm, with the return leg being played at Coogee Oval in round 16 on Sunday 18 June.

The Rabbitohs NSW Women’s Premiership team will also play the Bears at North Sydney Oval on Sunday with kick off scheduled for 12pm. This is the final game of the regular season.

The Rabbitohs Jersey Flegg Cup under 21s men’s team will travel to Victoria to play the Melbourne Storm on Saturday 15 April at 2pm at Comely Banks Recreation Reserve.
