The South Sydney Rabbitohs’ NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg Cup teams will open their seasons against the Newtown Jets and Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks this weekend, with the women’s and junior representative teams also taking on the Sharks away from home in round five.
Games will be played across both Saturday and Sunday in Newtown and the Sutherland Shire. On Saturday 4 March, Henson Park will host the opening match of the NSW Cup season between the Rabbitohs and Jets at 3pm.
The Jersey Flegg Cup under 21s match will be played at PointsBet Stadium on Saturday at 5:20pm as the curtain raiser to the NRL fixture between the Rabbitohs and Sharks at 7:35pm.
Cronulla High School (Sharks Academy) will be the venue for two games on Saturday with the Tarsha Gale Cup under 19s women’s game commencing at 10:30am and the NSW women’s premiership game starting at 11:45am.
On Sunday 5 March the Harold Matthews Cup under 17s boys game will kick off at 10am and the SG Ball Cup under 19s men’s game will follow at 11:45am.
The commencement of the Lisa Fiaola Cup under 17s girls competition has been postponed by the NSWRL.
