An update on injuries following our round 17 win over the Knights.

Lachlan Ilias - Concussion
Expected Return: Round 18

Lachlan Ilias suffered a concussion in the opening minutes of the game after colliding with Junior Tatola in a tackle. He did not pass his HIA on the day and did not return to the field. As with all concussion injuries, he will progress through the six-stage return to play protocol. Fortunately, he has suffered few symptoms. With the long turnaround, he is expected to play this Sunday so long as he continues to pass through the remaining return-to-play stages.

Alex Johnston - Quad Strain
Expected Return: Round 18

Alex Johnston was ruled out of our round 17 clash with a low-grade quad strain. He was close to playing, however, it was decided it was safer to rest him given he wasn’t 100%. He has trained well this week and will train with the team from tomorrow. He is expected to play in round 18.

Michael Chee Kam - Thumb Fracture
Expected Return: Eight Weeks

Michael Chee Kam made his return to the NRL in round 17 after a successful recovery from back surgery. However, in the early stages of the game, he fractured and dislocated his thumb. With heavy strapping, he was able to finish the game. Scans later confirmed a fracture resulting in him undergoing surgery on Sunday. He is currently in a cast and is expected to be out for eight weeks.

Josh Mansour - Hamstring Strain
Expected Return: Round 19

Josh Mansour suffered a minor hamstring strain during the NSW Cup round 16 clash against the Eels. He is currently running well and will be reintroduced to training with the team this week. He will be available for selection from round 19.

Peter Mamouzelos - Broken Wrist
Expected Return: Six-Eight weeks

Peter Mamouzelos, who suffered a broken wrist three weeks ago, is currently running strongly and doing weights but won’t return to skill training for at least three weeks when the cast is removed. Once the cast has been taken off, Peter will start restrengthening the wrist.
