Rabbitohs to farewell Braidon Burns

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have bid farewell to Braidon Burns who has decided to take up a contract with another NRL Club.

Burns, 25, played 40 games for South Sydney over five seasons with the Club, making his debut in 2017 against the Sea Eagles. Burns was named in the 21-man squad for the 2021 Grand Final and was a committed contributor to Souths Cares and their community programs over his five years with the Rabbitohs.

“Braidon is a quality footballer and an even better person and it’s sad to see him move on,” Rabbitohs CEO Blake Solly said.

“We understand the offer he has from another NRL Club is too good to refuse for him. He has battled through injuries to represent our Club as well as touch the community through his excellent work with Souths Cares.

“He is a favourite of our Members and supporters and we wish him, his fiancée Tiannan and their soon-to-be-born baby all the best in the future.”
