Rabbitohs Team List for Charity Shield

The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their squad for the 38th Charity Shield against the St George Illawarra Dragons at Glen Willow Stadium in Mudgee this Saturday 27 February at 6:30pm.

Rabbitohs Head Coach Wayne Bennett has named a 25-man squad to travel to Mudgee as South Sydney aims to claim its ninth-straight Charity Shield title. The traditional pre-season game was first played back in 1982 with the Rabbitohs claiming the shield on 21 occasions.

Souths Cares is the Rabbitohs’ chosen charity for this game, an organisation that operates programs for disadvantaged, marginalized and Indigenous youth and their families in the South Sydney district, around the State and throughout the Country in the areas of education, training, health and employment. The Rabbitohs will also play the Dragons in a combined NSW Cup/Jersey Flegg Cup trial match on Saturday 27 February at 2:30pm at Sid Parrish Park in Figtree.

Rabbitohs NSW Cup Steve Antonelli will trial 22 players in the match with the Rabbitohs to be captained by South Sydney junior Yileen Gordon.
