2020 has been an unprecedented year, but one constant through it all has been the South Sydney spirit on display from Rabbitohs Members.

In a year where family budgets are tight and people’s financial futures are unstable, Rabbitohs Members have rallied behind the Club as the Rabbitohs have now surpassed the 30,000 Member mark for just the fifth time in the Club’s history and for the first time since 2017.

We asked our Members to pledge their Memberships for the 2020 season, and so far over 6800 of our Members have done so.

In turn, the Rabbitohs have come up with a number of ways to say thank you to our Members, including some very special, first-of-its-kind Rabbitohs Member Jerseys produced by our brand new corporate partner of the Club, Classic Sportswear.

Classic Sportswear will be the official apparel partner of the South Sydney Rabbitohs for the next three seasons and the first items in the new range will be the Rabbitohs Thank You Members Jerseys which will feature the names of all Members who pledge their 2020 Membership. This is your chance to have your name, and those of your family and friends who are also Members, on a Rabbitohs jersey alongside your fellow Members! The Rabbitohs NRL team will also wear this jersey in the opening rounds of the 2021 season, pending the release of the 2021 NRL Draw later this season.

Classic Sportswear will be producing the Rabbitohs on-field, training and supporters merchandise gear for the next three seasons in a partnership announced today.

Classic Sportswear is a wholly owned Australian company that has been manufacturing sportswear for professional sports for over 85 years, delivering best in class product for elite athletes and fans. It is recognised throughout the sporting industry as signifying quality through an unrelenting commitment to product development, technology and innovation.

Classic Sportswear is synonymous with Rugby League at all levels and will be producing the on-field and training kits for the Rabbitohs NRL, Canterbury Cup, Harvey Norman NSW Women’s and Jersey Flegg squads from 2021 onwards.

Classic Sportswear will also produce the official supporters merchandise ranges from 2021 onwards, guaranteeing high quality and affordable supporter wear for all Rabbitohs Members and supporters.

All you need to do as a Member to be eligible to appear on the Thank You Members Jerseys from Classic Sportswear is the following:

Full Season Ticketed Members need to pledge your 2020 Membership to the Club for the remainder of the season, and your name will appear on the Rabbitohs jersey alongside all of your fellow Members who also pledge their Ticketed Memberships.

Furthermore, Full Season Ticketed Members who pledge their Membership and elect to feature on the Thank You Jerseys will have the opportunity to purchase the Jersey at the special Members discount rate of 20%, up from the usual 10% discount. So instead of paying $160 for the jersey, Ticketed Members who pledge and feature on the jersey will be able to buy this first-of-its kind Rabbitohs Jersey for just $128!

If the Thank You Members Rabbitohs Jersey is not your preferred option, the Rabbitohs are also saying thank you by offering our Full Season Ticketed Members a merchandise voucher for the Rabbitohs official store to the value of $25, or you can elect to receive this amount of your Ticketed Membership to be rolled over into your 2021 Membership.

All you need to do as a Queensland Member to be eligible to appear on the Thank You Members Jerseys from Classic Sportswear is pledge your 2020 Membership to the Club for the remainder of the season, and your name will appear on the Rabbitohs jersey alongside all of your fellow Members who also pledge their Queensland Memberships.

Furthermore, Queensland Members who pledge their Membership and elect to feature on the Thank You Jerseys will have the opportunity to purchase the Jersey at the special Members discount rate of 20%, up from the usual 10% discount. So instead of paying $160 for the jersey, Queensland Members who pledge and feature on the jersey will be able to buy this first-of-its kind Rabbitohs Jersey for just $128!

The Rabbitohs recognise that the 2020 Season has been a particularly difficult one for Queensland Ticketed Members who have had extremely limited opportunities to see their team play live this year. If the Thank You Members Rabbitohs Jersey is not your preferred option, the Rabbitohs are also saying thank you by offering our Queensland Members a merchandise voucher for the Rabbitohs official store to the value of $60, or you can elect to receive this amount of your Queensland Membership to be rolled over into your 2021 Membership.

Flexi-3, Flexi-5 and non-Ticketed Members who have not already pledged their 2020 Memberships to the Club, will have the opportunity to secure their name on the Rabbitohs Thank You Members Jerseys by upgrading their Membership for just $25.

Furthermore, Flexi-3, Flexi-5 and non-Ticketed Members who upgrade their Membership and elect to feature on the Thank You Jerseys will have the opportunity to purchase the Jersey at the special Members discount rate of 20%, up from the usual 10% discount. So instead of paying $160 for the jersey, Ticketed Members who pledge and feature on the jersey will be able to buy this first-of-its kind Rabbitohs Jersey for just $128!

Flexi-3, Flexi-5 and non-Ticketed Members who have already pledged their Memberships for Season 2020 do not need to upgrade their Membership to have their name appear on the Rabbitohs Thank You Members Jerseys.

Rabbitohs CEO Blake Solly is excited about the partnership with Classic Sportswear and the Thank You Members Jersey that will kick off the partnership.

“We’ve had over 6,800 of our Ticketed Members pledge their Membership despite them not knowing if they were going to be able to go to any games at all this season, as recently as May this year, and we want to recognise all of those Ticketed Members who have and will pledge their Members by featuring their name on the Rabbitohs Jersey alongside their family, friends and fellow Members.
