Cook named Dally M Hooker of the Year

The South Sydney Rabbitohs would like to congratulate hooker Damien Cook on winning Dally M Hooker of the Year.

Cook has been awarded the illustrious medal for his fantastic performances for both Club and State where the dummy half played an integral role in the Rabbitohs run to the Preliminary Final and the NSW Blues State of Origin Series win.

Cook is the first Rabbitohs player to take home a Dally M award since Sam Burgess, who was named Lock of the Year in 2014.

Cook has gone to another level this year, after being awarded the starting number nine role by Head Coach Anthony Seibold.

Fitting perfectly into Seibold's expansive attacking style, Cook has gone on to score four tries, provide seven try assists, nine line break assists, make over 1000 tackles and run an average 104 metres per game.

Cook also took out the Provan and Summons People's Choice award.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs Football Club would once again like to congratulate Damien, on his outstanding achievements.
