Fantasy Radar - Greg Inglis

Part seven of the Fantasy Radar features a South Sydney Rabbitohs talisman....

Greg Inglis

Back and ready to prove a point, a player who has previously been a  fantasy gun - Greg Inglis - is looking to reclaim his mantle as one of the most dangerous backs in the NRL and that promises to be an exciting prospect for Fantasy addicts.

Price

$503,000

Position

Wing and Fullback

Pro

Greg Inglis in full flight is one of the great sights in modern day Rugby League and, when given the room to work his magic close to the line, he usually comes up with the goods. Plus he offers a great defensive ability and both on the ground and in the air.

Cons

When a player comes back from a serious injury many punters usually shy away from them. Despite a season in 2017 where he only had a few minutes of decent footy, Inglis still has a lofty price tag. With consistent wingers and fullbacks notoriously hard to pick, Inglis will be a tempting pick for some.

Final Thoughts

As said before reliable point-scorers in the wings and fullback positions are often very hard to come by in NRL Fantasy - unless you want to spend big. Inglis has the potential to be that consistent scorer and although his price tag may land slightly too high for some, his price doesn’t come close to the big performers from last year.

However, we all know Inglis has the power to match those players. With a cheaper price tag he is definitely an interesting proposition.
