Jesse will be looking to continue the momentum he carried in 2017 after captaining the Manly Sea Eagles to a premiership win in the final NYC competition.
Able to play both in the backrow and at hooker, Jesse has proven to be a hard working and robust player. He arrived at the Rabbitohs through assistant coach David Furner, with whom he lives with in Sydney.
Martin started his career playing for the Quenbeyan Blues before being picked up by Manly playing in their under 20s side where he captained them to a Premiership last season.
Jesse Martin is a hard working lock and a robust player who can also player across the backrow and at hooker. Having captained a successful Manly Under 20s side, Martin’s the type of player who backs up his words with actions.
“Jesse Martin was the captain of the under 20s for Manly last year, who won the Grand Final. He’s a development player for us the year.”General Manager of Football Shane Richardson
How he fits into the squad
