NRL Match Preview: Rabbitohs vs Newcastle Knights RD19, 2026
The South Sydney Rabbitohs return to Accor Stadium this Sunday afternoon to take on the Newcastle Knights in an important round 19 clash, with kick-off scheduled for 2pm (AEST).
The Rabbitohs are back on home soil for another special occasion, with The World's Biggest Birthday Party set to transform Accor Stadium into a sea of red and green. With the race for the finals entering its final stages, every match carries added significance. The Rabbitohs will be looking to continue their strong home form and strengthen their position inside the top eight against a Knights side currently sitting fourth on the ladder.
Team Changes
Wayne Bennett has welcomed back captain Cameron Murray, who has been named to back up from Wednesday night's State of Origin decider at lock. Campbell Graham also returns after missing three matches with a calf injury and has been named on the wing.
There are several changes across the backline, with Matthew Dufty named at fullback, Tallis Duncan shifting to the centres and Jayden Sullivan partnering Ashton Ward in the halves. Euan Aitken returns to the starting side in the back row alongside David Fifita, while Tevita Tatola and Keaon Koloamatangi once again lead the Rabbitohs' forward pack.

Supporters are encouraged to arrive early for one of the biggest match day experiences of the season.
The World's Biggest Birthday Party will feature entertainment for the whole family, including the Party Zone in the Southern D on-field area with face painting and jumping castles, plus party hats for Members and fans as the Club attempts to break the world record for the most party hats worn in one stadium. Thanks to Allen's Lollies, supporters will also receive a complimentary lolly bag upon entry.
The day will also mark the first opportunity to meet Reggie Rabbit's entire family, while Rabbitohs legend Bob McCarthy will ring the Legacy Bell before kick-off.
At half-time, The Wiggles will perform live before celebrations continue after full-time with a special birthday presentation for Jai Arrow, including a giant birthday cake and the opportunity for Members and fans to come onto the field approximately 15 minutes after the final siren.
