'We've got a special bond' - Riley

South Sydney Rabbitohs and NSW Blues dummy-half Rebecca Riley was over the moon after NSW's inaugural State of Origin win over Queensland crediting the win to a 'special bond' between her and her Red and Green teammates.

The Friday night spectacle at North Sydney Oval was enjoyed by all who attended as fans flooded the pitch after the match to grab snaps and signatures.

Whichever way Riley turned there was either a pen or phone in front or behind of her but for the hard-working number 9 it was no different to being out on the field with her Rabbitohs teammates right around her.

"Us South Sydney girls we've got a special bond and we just trust each other so much," said Riley.

"If I've got Maddie outside me or even Lavina (O'Mealey), Taleena (Simon) and Nakia (Davis-Welsh) I just know they're going to be there for me, which made me comfortable coming into that game."

Riley, a proven state performer was well aware of the challenging contest in front of her and with the extra value of Origin added on top, the dummy-half was even more prepared for the 60-minute contest.

"It was everything that I expected hard, fast and tough in the middle," Riley said.

"Every tackle and hit up was like no other match but was a great game to be a part of."

Like the other 33 women that took part in the marvellous encounter, Riley was experiencing a very new level of Women's Rugby League and won't be taking it for granted anytime soon.

"I've never felt anything like that before, I've never played in front of a crowd like that before its crazy," said Riley.

"It's amazing and I'm very grateful for everyone coming out."
