Rabbitohs forward Zane Musgrove spoke to the media today following Souths 24-18 victory over the Newcastle Knights on the weekend.
Despite losing Captain Greg Inglis in round one to an injury, Musgrove believes his teammates held their own and have lifted their game getting the job done to add another two points to the board.
“AJ stood up on the weekend, a lot of players stood up and got the job done,” said Johnston.
“It was good as it shows we’ve got a lot of depth in the side.”
Musgrove is confident in the depth of the squad and is looking forward to the rivalry match against the Sydney Roosters at ANZ Stadium on Thursday night.
“Always when you’re coming up against the Roosters there are battles all over the park, in the halves, there is always another level when you’re coming up against a side like the Roosters.
“I’m still confident, we’ve got other boys there to slot in and do the job.”
