Head Coach Michael Maguire is looking to foster a competitive and enthusiastic environment in his team and believes we'll thrive as a Club as we move into the 2017 NRL Season and beyond.
The Rabbitohs earlier this week announced five new player signings in promising young guns Robert Jennings, Tyrell Fuimaono, Braidon Burns and Connor Tracey and adding NRL experience through prop/second-rower Robbie Rochow.
Maguire is confident this injection of young talent will grow his squad and provide fierce competition for spots in the starting line up.
"To be able to bring in young kids like that it really grows your squad," said Maguire.
"We are at a growing stage. It's about looking to the future. To be able to bring some young, enthusiastic and top quality players into your squad really enhances us as we move forward.
"The environment that we have here is a really competitive one and the boys thrive off the back of that so bringing those type of people in will grow us as a group."
However, Maguire is not losing focus on the 2016 season and is looking for his men to build on our current form and take that into our fixture against the Knights.
"Every game in the NRL you've got to make sure you prepare well and be at your best," said Maguire.
"We've really shown what preparation can do leading into games over this last little period.
"It's about building on what we've been doing over these last couple of weeks and looking forward to the game."
