We're Demanding More From Each Other: McInnes

With a short turnaround facing the Rabbitohs before their Round 22 clash with the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park, Cameron McInnes says the team is committed to pushing each other forward and will be demanding more as a unit.

After Sunday's result against the Canberra Raiders, McInnes feels there is a determination to play good football and put pride in the jersey among the playing group.

McInnes insists each week the Rabbitohs are striving to get the best out of each other and won't give up their efforts and belief in the team.

"We're in a place that's very challenging and very difficult - one that not a lot of us have been in before," said McInnes

"There is a bit of soul-searching and we're trying to get ourselves out of it,

"We're all sticking together and we're going to push each other along to get the best out of each other because none of us want that; to give up and stop trying."

McInnes concedes that our fundamentals need addressing but stresses that we can't overcomplicate how we fix these issues.

"I don't think it's re-inventing, I think it's holding the ball and making our tackles - It's as simple as that," McInnes said.

"Try to overcomplicate footy and it's not going to work,

"It's obvious we're dropping too much ball and not defending our errors. Until we can do that, certain players or certain styles of footy doesn't really matter. Those are the fundamentals."

With the away trip to Melbourne looming, McInnes declares there is a commitment at the Simply Energy High Performance Centre to get our preparation right before we take the field against the Storm.

"We need to keep pushing and driving each other and demanding more from each other. That's what we've committed to doing with each other. That's the focus."
